Ysselsteyn, in the southern Dutch province of Limburg, is not only the biggest military cemetery in the Netherlands, it is also the only German one.
Most of the 31.500 dead here are German soldiers from WWII. They used to be scattered all over the country and were brought to Ysselsteyn after the war. Newly discovered corpses are still reburied here regularly.
Also buried here are Dutch soldiers that served in the German army or the SS.
